Ruling
1. The provision of a limitation to the electorate law for prisoners, if it occurs as General, Automatic and indiscriminate with respect to the duration, nature and severity of the sentence, constitutes a violation of the art. 3 of the CEDU protocol 1.
2. When limitation to electoral law is of an absolute nature and is applied without distinction to all detainees constitutes a violation of electoral law.
(In the present case, a prisoner had been deprived of the right to vote in view of the parliamentary elections due to a conviction that he was serving).
